Just checking in with a quick summer update. Since the publication of SEABORNE, I have been pretty much M.I.A. in the world of social media. My Twitter, Facebook, blog post, and podcast productivity has suffered greatly, but with good reason! I’ve been writing. A new series idea grabbed hold of me back in May, and I have been working tirelessly on that. That’s the kind of writing I am supposed to be doing.
I have this picture of the Blues Brothers on my desktop. Every time I think about writing something other than a chapter in the new book, I imagine Jack and Elwood grilling me: “Don’t you have something more important to do right now?”
Message received, boys. Back to work I go.
I was wondering if there would be anymore of the Jack Blank books, like when Jack is 20 or something?
Funny you should ask. That same idea that grabbed me back in May could potentially cross-over w/ Jack’s world. Doesn’t have to, but it could definitely work… might be fun. I don’t know. I’d have to think about what age Jack would be. Probably shortly after the end of Jack Blank 3

It’s just not really old… it’s REALLY old. I know, I have been slacking. I will be adding new blog posts (and podcast eps!), again regularly this spring. Right now, I am racing to meet a deadline for SEABORNE 2, which got the green-light back in Sept. Almost done. It’s going to be really cool, and worth the wait, I promise. ;]

Please try to bring something from the Jack blank series. I loved that so much! I usually hate reading, but with the Jack blank books a whole new world was created for me. You are an awesome author. Please bring back Jack Blank.
Thank you! I am writing something now that *could* cross-over with the Jack Blank universe (the Blankverse?). We’ll see. In the meantime, I have ideas for more Jack Blank stories, but I need to flesh them out into a big epic like the first 3 books. Ideas are the easy part. It’s the details… building them into stories with awesome new characters, big battles, and moments that matter that is hard. ;]
